About me

It was during the beginning of the pandemic that I began to take a closer look at what I wanted the next chapter in my life to look like. This brought me to life coaching; nothing has ever felt so right, so fitting, so gratifying.

And so Arché Life Coaching was birthed.

Certified by the the International Coach Federation (ICF), the leading global organization in coaching,  I am an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and a certified Life and Somatic Coach through the Courageous Living Coach Certification (CLCC) program; a holistic program focused on person-centered coaching, accredited by the ICF.

I have been on the expat boat a few times in my life and I know the waters can be rough.

Having lived and worked in half a dozen countries I am all too familiar with the numerous and sometimes conflicting aspects that come with this experience. The excitement, the questions, the fears, the pain points and cultural challenges. I never had a support system and felt terribly lost and lonely every time.

I am committed to being of service to people who are exposed to more than one culture in their daily life by providing coaching and an opportunity to explore other countries through my retreats.

When I’m not coaching you will frequently find me in nature with my camera. Perpetually in search of bodies of water and reflections. Reflecting on my own path, purpose and dreams. Capturing moments that will keep me connected to my own source.  I live in Sonoma in Northern California, I coach globally, and spend as much time as possible traveling to my other home country, Greece, or scouting out countries for my next retreat.

“And suddenly you just know…It’s time to start something new and trust the magic of new beginnings".”

How I got here…

As a result of my own bicultural background I have spent much of my life navigating my cultural heritage, seeking answers, searching for a balance and an acceptance. While living and working with people in different corners of the world, exploring the cultures I carried and the cultures I was exposed to, I was always mindful of what I had to learn, what I had to offer and how it could all be bridged.

I was born in the US and at a very young age moved to Greece with my non Greek parents. I grew up on a small island before returning to the US as an adult. I was very young when I realized that I lived in a world where two very different points of view on life co-existed and not always harmoniously I may add. Two very distinct ways of communicating about these differences early on generated the question, “who am I,  where do I actually belong, how do I live my life and where do I want to live?”

These questions followed me as I frequently found myself exposed to more than one culture at a time. Some say it’s a blessing and a curse to have a dual background.

I subscribe to the blessing theory and want to share everything I have learned along the way.

What people are saying…

“Sophia helped me to understand how my self-sabotage routines and fear were keeping me from making progress toward my personal goals. With her support and thought provoking questions, I learned to lean into those discomforts to understand how they were keeping me stuck and how to move beyond them. I am now pursuing my dream to host a podcast and after only a few coaching sessions with Sophia, I have recorded my trailer for my podcast, Sticky Situation!” G.N.
